Materials Needed: A small amount of worsted weight yarn in main color and contrasting color, H and I hook, sewing needle
FLO- Front loop only
BLO- Back loop only
with main color yarn and H hook
ch 29
Row 1 - hdc in 2nd ch from hook and in each remaining ch, ch 1 turn (28 hdc)
Row 2 - hdc in FLO of each st across, ch 1 turn
Row 3 - hdc in BLO of each st across, ch 1 turn
Row 4-18 - repeat rows 2 and 3
fasten off leaving a length of yarn to sew with, fold in half and stitch the first 18 sts together, skip the next 4 sts, stitch the next 6 sts together.
Thumb:
attach yarn in a free loop that was skipped when sewing up the side, ch 1, sc in the rest of the free loops on both sides including the 2 loops on each end that are whip stitched, this will total 12 sts, join with a sl st to the first sc
round 2-4 - sc in each st around, join with a sl st to 1st st
fasten off.
Attach contrasting color yarn and work one round of single crochet, fasten off.
Top and bottom of warmer:
Using I hook attaching contrasting yarn and work one round of hdc spacing 22 sts evenly around. Fasten off.
You can leave the thumb off and seam the wrist warmer the same way.
